« Eating the landscape | Main | Ipomea on the run »

Now that's my kind of salad. I went to a party last night. Two nutritionist friends of mine were there. There was healthy food everywhere.

I had four barbecued sausages and nil else.

Nice post, as usual. I always hesitate to tell anyone that we don't eat at the table in the traditional manner. Cooking for others means some compromise. In this household, one person doesn't eat celery, and another will season everything on his plate regardless of my having cooked with many herbs and spices. sigh I guess the main point is that things remain amicable. And our bodies' needs are different. I like greens and grains more than meat, too.

Is this meat preference a male characteristic? Have the same experience in my household.

Somehow related to my mother, who thinks that fish are vegetables (i.e. suitable for vegetarians)...
